Abstract

THE FACIES DEVELOPMENT OF TERRENEUVIAN DEPOSITS IN TEH EASTERN PART OF THE UPPER SILESIAN BLOCKAbstract. The subject of article is facies analysis of the Terreneuvian (lowermost Cambrian) deposits in the eastern part of the Upper Silesian Block. In the siliciclastic succession of Terreneuvian one defined lower and upper offshore depositional system dominated by claystone facies and shoreface represented by sandstones. Numerous trace fossils mainly represented by fodinichnia of deposit feeders occur in this parts of offshore. In upper offshore zone one distinguished distal and proximal part.
