Abstract


FORMATION OF THE GROUNDWATER CHEMICAL COMPOSITION OF SHALLOW FLOW SYSTEM PERFORMED BY UNDERGROUND MINING EXPLOITATION – TEODOR SHAFT, NE PART OF THE INTRA-SUDETIC BASIN

The objective of the investigation, results of which are presented in this article, was to provide information about water chemistry changing in shallow groundwater zone located in Jugów Pniaki village. These changes are the consequence of carbonate dissolution, sulphide and silicate weathering. Calcium, magnesium and carbonates molar ratio show that dolomite or calcite dissolutions dominate in chosen seasons. Saturation Index show that water are undersaturated to goethite and undersaturated to ferrihydrite in April and December 2004.
