Abstract

HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE ORE GENESIS OF THE COPPER DEPOSIT (FORE-SUDETIC MONOCLINE, SW POLAND) - DISCUSSION

Abstract. Both, historical and recent models of the Kupferschiefer-type deposit are discussed. The Kupferschiefer deposit consists of a world class copper-silver stratabound mineralization, that transgress sedimentary sequence of the lower Zechstein. The deposit was formed in the long period of time starting in a short distance after dolomitization of the Werra (Ca1) limestone. The deposit was developed in the several stages including an early diagenesis and epithgenetic veins. The last stage containing a noble metals concentration was developed on the redox barrier, but on an oxidation side. A role of tectonic in metal concentration and structure of the deposit is also a goal of discussion.
