Abstract

HYDROGEOCHEMISTRY OF CO2-RICH WATERS FROM THE KUDOWA DEPRESSIONAbstract. The paper presents the results of hydrogeochemical modelling of CO2-rich waters from the Kudowa area. The analysis of water saturation was based on calculations carried out with the use of the WATEQ4F code. The saturation state was estimated quantitatively using the Saturation Index (SI). Interpretation of the saturation state was limited to the most important rock-forming minerals. Minerals regulating the hydrogeochemical equilibrium in CO2-rich waters in Kudowa Spa are principally calcite, dolomite, feldspars and illite.
