DYNAMIC OF THE HYDRAULIC HEADS IN THE YEARS 1961–1981 IN THE OSTROWO–GOPŁO CANAL

Abstract. The aim of the project was to define relations between the dynamics of groundwater levels and rainfall in the system Ostrowo–Goplo Canal. The point of departure for this study was groundwater levels data and the sum of atmospheric rainfall in the years 1961–1981 published in Roczniki Hydrogeologiczne Wód Podziemnych and in Roczniki Opadowe. The analysis of the dynamics of water levels was carried out in six observation wells (Chełmce, Strzelno, Wronowy, Wandowo, Kościeszki, Tomisławie) and six precipitation stations (Piotrków Kujawski, G³êbokie, Strzelno, Miradz, Rzeszyn i Wandowo). By correlating groundwater level and meteorological parameters (precipitations), it was discovered that the largest impact on groundwater table made last year’s precipitation. Moreover, it has been observed that it is the rainfall occurring a month before the measurement of water levels that has significant influence on the dynamics of groundwater levels.
