Abstract

SELECTED ISSUES OF THE GENESIS OF GROUNDWATERS FLOWING INTO LUBIN AND POLKOWICE-SIEROSZOWICE MINES, IN THE AREA OF HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS BETWEEN ZECHSTEIN AND OLIGOCENE DEPOSITSAbstract. The key issue of the work was to define water chemistry variations in the Lubin and Polkowice-Sieroszowice mines, in the area of hydraulic connections between the Triassic-Permian and Cenozoic water-bearing complexes. Such connections occur chiefly in the southern part of these mines. The research was based on 458 results of chemical composition analyses of these waters. Based on selected, most commonly used hydrochemical indices, an attempt was taken to determine the origin of main ion components. The author  also used the results of analyses concerning the degree of saturation index (SI) of the studied waters with minerals composing the rock complex.
