Abstract

MODELING POLLUTANT MIGRATION IN THE SATURATED AND UNSATURATED ZONE BY FINITE ELEMENT METHOD ON THE EXAMPLE OF MUNICIPAL LANDFILL IN NOWY DWÓRAbstract. Model tests of for pollutant migration in landfills Nowy Dwór performed in order to comply with the preliminary evaluation of the impact of this object to the status of groundwater quality. Model tests were carried out using the software GMS/ FEMWATER. Results of the study was to obtain preliminary estimates the spatial distribution of pollutants for the four different options for effluents infiltration after 35, 50 and 100 years since the start of storage.
