Abstract

CHANGES IN THE MAIN EXPLOITATION PARAMETERS OF THE MEDICINAL WATER FROM SELECTED SPAS IN THE KŁODZKO LAND DUE TO EXTREMELY HIGH PRECIPITATION IN 1997–1998Abstract. The article presents the results of variability analysis of exploitation parameters of medicinal water from Kudowa Spa, Duszniki Spa and Polanica Spa. The results of observation of exploitation parameters (mainly from the period 1995–1999) made by the Geological Survey were used to study correlations. Due to heavy rains in July 1997 (and 1998), the temperature of water, discharge of wells and concentration of HCO3- ions increased. A decrease in CO2 concentration was also observed. The damages in spa areas caused by the 1997–1998 rainfall did not result in significant (irreversible) changes in the water parameters.
