Abstract

CHANGES OF THE HYDROGEOLOGICAL REGIME OF THE CURATIVE WATER INTAKES IN SZCZAWNICA ATTRIBUTABLE TO THE ANTHROPOGENIC CAUSESAbstract. The intakes of curative waters in Szczawnica are very vulnerable to the influence of the geogenic and anthropogenic factors. Those factors cause the disruption of the hydrodynamic and hydrochemical regime. Using as an example the Magdalena, Szymon, Pitoniakówka and Jan-14 curative water intakes, the fragility of the hydrodynamic balance between regular waters and exploited curative waters and the water-gas balance in the curative water intake have been proven. The reasons and the effects of the balance disturbance have been determined. The curative water intakes in Szczawnica require particular protection and the surrounding areas require special care regarding proper development and use. The basis for the protection shall be the provisions of the Geological and Mining Act and the executive ordinances thereto.
