Abstract

ACTIVITY OF 210Pb IN SELECTED GROUNDWATERS IN THE WESTERN PART OF THE POLISH CARPATHIANSAbstract. Activity of 210Pb measured in some groundwaters of the Polish Carpathians proves that this isotope is not radiologically hazardous. However, it should be incorporated in calculations of the total effective dose resulted from intake of radionuclides present in drinking waters. A special care should be taken in situations when some of these waters are used in diet of babies and young children.
