Abstract

REGIONAL GROUNDWATER FLOW MODELLINGAbstract. The paper presents a modelling approach to the two-dimensional groundwater flow in a horizontal plane. Particular attention is paid to the parameter estimation procedure, model calibration and sensitivity analysis. Examples of numerical simulations, performed with the HZPLASKI code developed by the author, are presented. The code was developed in order to solve steady-state groundwater flow in a horizontal plane, using the finite element method.
