Abstract
HYDRAULIC CONDUCTIVITY SETTING METHOD APPLIED IN THE GULF OF GDAŃSK COASTAL ZONE MODEL
Abstract. Horizontal and vertical conductivity is one of the most important parameters in water cycle models. Specifying them is one of the most time-consuming works during calibration. Such a method for the Gulf of Gdańsk coastal zone model is presented in this paper. Basing on archival data of the modeling area, a catalogue of conductivities of aquifers and aquitards was produced. Conductivities of aquifers were successfully used in the model. Data concerning aquitards had to be increased during the model calibration. The possible reason for
their low values is that the measurements of the aquitards are usually conducted for a defined type of the ground. However, the type of aquitard is rarely uniform in the nature. Even in continuous aquitards, there are areas of better conductivity.
