ESTIMATION OF ADMISSIBLE RESOURCES IN THE GRABARÓW WATER INTAKE, JELENIA GÓRA

Abstract. The Visual Modflow software was used for estimation of exploitable groundwater resources in the area of Grabarów water intake located in Jelenia Góra. The amount of resources calculated for ten dug wells reaches 610 m³/h and exploitable discharges of wells ranges from 30 to 80 m³/h. The wells are mainly recharged by surface water of the Bóbr river. Increase in discharge is followed by higher volume of infiltrating surface water at the expense of better quality groundwater. The maximum time of water inflow from the Bóbr river valley to the dug wells is below 5 days, whereas the time of ground water inflow is 6–10 years.
