Abstract

IMPROVEMENT OF WATER INTAKE LOCATION AT ZAWADA NEAR OPOLE USING FICTIVE GROUNDWATER FLOW MODELSAbstract. The distance between production wells and rivetbamk and well construction has a favorable influence effect on preferred retention times and flow path length. RBF system at Zawada near Opole was used as a case study. The group of 18 vertical wells have been built along nverbank of Jemielnica River. The possible influence of well location on the proportion of riverbank filtrate has been calculated by a simple, Active groundwater flow models using MODFLOW. The analysts of these Active groundwater flow models allow to determine impact of RBF scheme at Zawada Waterwork on improving productivity and the quality of pumped water.
