Abstract


STRUCTURAL MODEL OF THE QUATERNARY AQUIFER IN THE AREA OF GOCZAŁKOWICE RESERVOIR

Abstract. The creation of groundwater flow models should be based on a reliable conceptual model. Its main element is interpreted and generalised information about geological structure of the flow system. Leading companies develop special programs used for preparation of conceptual models, and enable their implementation in the Mod flow or FeFlow systems. Among such programs is the HydroGeo Builder (HGB), using which the user can prepare a structural model and add hydrogeological parameters and boundary conditions. The paper presents the way of using the HGB for the construction of nine-layered structural model of the direct catchment of Goczałkowice reservoir (64 km2 in area). Structural model of the Quaternary aquifer will be used in groundwater modelling within the ZiZOZap project.
