Abstract

POLISH COALS CO2 SEQUESTRATION – THE SORPTIC INVESTIGATION ANALYSISAbstract. The experimental investigation of carbon dioxide sorption has been undertaken because of the gas sequestration (especially in fossil fuels) problematic. It was done on grained fraction samples with use of volumetric method under pressure up to 3 MPa and temperature 298 K. Isotherm analysis revealed Pniówek Mine coal sorption capacity as the highest. The main aim of the investigation was to show an influence of a coal (containance of % C, reflectance, porosity) and maceral groups in CO2 sorptic capacity for Polish mine-samples. Results have been seen to use as simple model for qualification coal bead in context of CO2 injection.
