Abstract


RENEWABLE GROUNDWATER RESOURCES OF DIFFERENT GROUNDWATER MEDIA AN EXAMPLE FROM THE K£ODZKO LAND

Abstract. This article presents renewable groundwater resources in porous, fractured, fractured-porous and fractured-karst groundwater media. The study area is located in the Kłodzko Land. Groundwater resources were estimated using hydrological methods and modelling. The results indicate that the largest groundwater resources are located in the porous and fractured-karst media. The moduli of groundwater runoff are 7–8 dm3/s·km2. The relation between the spring runoff and the total groundwater runoff proves that almost 90% of runoff is of river-bed origin and takes place along the river valley (lineal drainage). Lower values of groundwater runoff were noted in a fractured medium (hard rocks). In the study area, dynamic groundwater resources and allowed extraction level have been evaluated. The calculated values of groundwater resources do not indicate their disposable values. In order to protect environment, disposable resources should account for approximately 50–60% of groundwater resources.
