Abstract
A fossil valley in the Krosno region
Wyrobiska montowanego w r. 1956 szybu w Jaszczwi odsłoniły formę i akumulację dwu kopalnych dolin czwartorzędowych, form niezgodnych z dzisiejszą rzeźbą terenu i ilustrujących jego morfogenezę. Jest to dolina „najstarsza”, związana najprawdopodobniej ze starszym zlodowaceniem środkowopolskim i dolina „starsza” wyścielona lessem. W tę ostatnią dzisiejsza rzeźba wcięta jest epigenetycznie.
Two fossil valleys of Pleistocene age were discovered in the year 1956 by diggings made during mounting of a rig at Jaszczew. These valleys are cut across by the present-day morphology. The „oldest valley” is corresponding probably with the older glaciacion of Central Poland; the „older valley” is filled by loess. The present-day morphology is epigenetic in relation to the „older” morphologic forms.
