OŁDRZYCHOWICE DOLOMITE AS A RAW MATERIAL FOR PRODUCTION OF FIOURS FOR GLASS INDUSTRY

Institute of Glass and Ceramics has made researches or dolomite of the deposit at Ołdrzychowice determining its usability for glass industry. the article its chemical and mineral characteristics of the raw material found to occur in the deposit, taking into account all varieties that can be distinguished macroscopically. Moreover, there is discussed the technology that guarantees the maximum yield of a fraction according to the requirements of glass industry and to the possibility of eliminating harmful impurities using electromagnetic separation. In addition the results of the researches made by the glass industry are discussed. These researches were based on samples of various grain size, selected to determine the influence of grain size upon the technology of melt.
