CONCERNING METHODS FOR PLANNING AND CARRYING OUT HYDROGEOLOGICAL RESEARCH IN ESTABLISHING GROUNDWATER RESOURCES
Summary
Remarkable progress in hydrogeological procedure applied in exploring and evaluating groundwater resources was made in Poland in the sixties. This is shown by the mass application of geophysical methods in searching for groundwaters as well as by the introduction of more effective methods of calculating their resources, e.g. those based on the Theis-Jacob theory of so-called undefined filtration. The paper presents a brief review of these methods as well as some general conclusions concerning current organization of hydrogeological exploration and reconnaissance studies.
