Abstract
WATER ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTIONS IN THE PIENINY AREA
Summary
In the article the author discusses two varieties of dams being projected on the Dunajec river within the Pieniny region, the first one concerning a dam at Niedzica (Castle), the second one at Zielone Skałki. Moreover, the author presents a project of dam at Sromowce Wyżne, which is foreseen to be an equalizing basin for the dam at Niedzica.
In the light of geological structure, the author discusses geological-engineering conditions of several regions and presents results of geological-engineering investigations made in the area under study.
