APTYCHI STRATIGRAPHY OF THE PIENINY KLIPPEN BELT IN POLAND
Summary
Aptichi abound in the Dogger, Malm and Neocomian of the Pieniny Klippen Belt. Stratigraphy of the deep and open sea Upper Jurassic facies of the Klippen series deposited southward of the Czorsztyn Series, and that of the Tithonian and Neocomian of the Czorsztyn Series, are based on Aptichi. Other occurrences of Aptichi in the Klippen Belt area are less important for local stratigraphy.
