PERSPECTIVES OF KAOLIN OCCURRENCE IN THE STRZELIN MASSIF REGION
Summary
The constantly increasing development of the Polish metallurgy industry, consuming a big amount of the fireproof materials, and the demands of electrotechnical, chemical, ceramics industry and others, require the enlargement of the raw material bases for these products.
The article deals with problem of new kaolin deposit discoveries in Poland. The deposits of kaolin and fireproof clays being exploited at present in the Strzegom Massif region, in the Lower Silesia area, do not suffice even for the home requirement. The considerable possibilities to find the new deposits of these raw materials exist in the other regions of the Lower Silesia.
