LABORATORY DETERMINATION IN THE MODULUS OF ELASTICITY OF ROCKS
Summary
During computations of static data for large engineering constructions as well as for timbering of mine workings, a very important magnitude is the modulus of elasticity of rock occurring in the substratum, i.e. Young’s modulus (E).
Author presents the method of measurements of modulus of the basis of the Hook’s law, in relation to the rocks, using the arrangements existing in all laboratories of soil mechanics in Poland.
