STRENGTH CHARACTERISTICS OF JURASSIC CARBONATE ROCKS OF THE BEŁCHATÓW TROUGH
Summary
The major interdependences of physical and strength parameters of Jurassic limestones occurring in Mesozoic surrounding of the Bełhatów deposit are determined. Porosity is recognized as the leading parameter, used to calculate dependences on elasticity modulus, determined with the use of acoustic method. Final part of the paper deals with major hazards in mining works, related to specific structure of the Mesozoic basement.
