Stratygrafia osadów bursztynonośnych północnej Lubelszczyzny
Abstract
Wystąpienia bursztynu są znane na obszarze północnej Lubelszczyzny między Kockiem, Parczewem i Lubartowem wśród osadów formacji z Siemienia. Na podstawie biostratygraficznych mięczków, otwornic, wapiennego nanoplanktonu i dinocyst, wiek bursztynonośnej formacji z Siemienia można okreslić jako pogranicze bartonu i priabonu oraz priabon. Bursztynonośne osady formacji z Siemienia występują w wyższej części profilu formacji i reprezentują zonę nanoplanktonową NP 18 — Chiasmolithus oamaruensis z dolnego priabonu.Potwierdzają to badania otwornic i fitoplanktonu.

Summary
Amber has been found in the areas of northern Lublin Region between Kock, Parczew and Lubartów within the Siemień Formation. According to investigations of molluscs, foraminifers, calcareous nannoplankton, and dinocysts, the age of the amber-bearing Siemień Formation has been determined as Bartonian-Priabonian to Priabonian. Amber-bearing sediments of Siemień Formation occur in the upper part of the formation and represent the nannoplankton zone NP 18 — Chiasmolithus oamaruensis from the lower Priabonian (after Berggren et al., 1995). This age has been corroborated by the study of foraminifers and phytoplankton.
