MIOCENE SULPHUR DEPOSITS
Summary
The author discusses the occurrence of the Miocene sulphur deposits, their relation with the tectonical features of an area, surrounding environment, types of sulphur-bearing rocks, and association of minerals accompanying the native sulphur. Most important facts are given, which prove the epigenetic origin of the Miocene sulphur deposits, as well as distribution of old, and of new-discovered sulphur deposits, as well as of sites with sulphur manifestations in chemical sediments of the Carpathian fore-'land is discussed. Moreover, a more detailed description of sulphur-bearing formations occurring in the vicinities of Grabki-Solec-Grzybów, southern part of the Święty Krzyż Mts is given, as well.
