Pozycja geologiczna bloku sowiogórskiego i jego wpływ na paleogeografię paleozoiku Sudetów Środkowych
Abstract
Praca jest syntezą najnowszych badań wykonanych w obrębie gnejsowego bloku sowiogórskiego oraz na obszarach przyległych. Przedstawiono w niej charakterystykę serii skalnych, próbę rekonstrukcji serii premetamorficznych Gór Sowich, paleontologiczne udokumentowanie ich wieku, problem ewolucji strukturalnej bloku sowiogórskiego, datowania wieku izotopowego gnejsów i migmatytów Gór Sowich na tle datowań wieku izotopowego prekambryjskich serii metamorficznych Europy środkowej, oraz wpływ bloku sowiogórskiego na paleogeografię paleozoiku Sudetów Środkowych.
On the basis of micropaleontological studies a Riphean age of the pre-metamorphic series of the Sowie Góry block has been ascertained. The prior opinions on the age of the gneisses and migmatites of that area have been revised. The opinion is put forward that the processes of folding and metamorphism began subsequently to the Riphean. that is in the Cadomian cycle, and ended during the Caledonian orogenesis at the turn of Ordovician and Silurian. Radiometric dating from the Sowie Góry area and other places of the „European Variscides zone” have been compiled.
It is ascertained that the influence of the Sowie Góry block on the paleogeography of the Paleozoic of Central Sudetes began at the time of the Variscan movements.
