Abstract
Geological setting of Ropianka beds in Ropianka (Polish Carpathians)
To elucidate the problem of the Ropianka beds which have been recently reintroduced to geological literature, the study of the beds in the stratotype area at Ropianka was undertaken. It appears that the strata distinguished by Paul as the Ropianka beds are in fact not only of various ages (from Upper Cretaceous to Oligocene), but also belong to two tectonic units: the Magura and Dukla units and a breccia zone in between.
