Chronologia termoluminescencyjna osadów lądolodu Sanian (=Elsterian II) w dorzeczu Sanu i górnego Dniestru
Abstract
Thermoluminescence chronology of the Sanian (=Elsterian II) inland-ice deposits in the San and the upper Dniestr river basins
In the seven analysed sections there occur glacial deposits dated with thermoluminescence (TL) method at 530 - 500 ka BP. Basing on these dates the deposits have been ascribed to the maximum extent of Sanian Glaciation ice sheet. In two sections, above the glacial deposits the organogenic layers occur, bound according to paleobotanic evidence with the Mazovian Interglacial (= Holsteinian) which separates Sanian (= Elsterian II) from Odranian (= Saalian I) Glaciations.
W siedmiu analizowanych profllach występują osady glacjalne datowane metodą termoluminescencyjną na 530 - 500 ka BP. Na tej podstawie powiązano je z maksymalnym stadiałem zlodowacenia Sanian. W dwu profilach powyżej tych osadów występują warstwy organogeniczne, zaliczane przez paleobotaników do interglacjału Mazovian (= Holsteinian), oddzielającego zlodowacenie Sanian (= Elsterian II) od zlodowacenia Odranian (= Saalian I).
