Sur les roches volcaniques associées aux klippes Piénines de Poiana Botizii (Maramouresh roumain)

Abstract

On the volcanic rocks associated with the Pieniny klippen at poiana Botizii (Romanian Maramuresh) Skały wulkaniczne skałek pienińskich w Poiana Botizii (Maramuresz rumuński) The article contains a detailed description of the volcanic material of the Pieniny klippen in Romanian Maramuresh. Products of two magmatic phases are reported: (1) allochthonous ophiolites, and (2) volcanic rocks of island-arc type. The origin of the eruptive rocks is examined. Some considerations on the early evolution of the Pieniny klippen realm are presented.
