Abstract
On the volcanic rocks associated with the Pieniny klippen at poiana Botizii (Romanian Maramuresh)

The article contains a detailed description of the volcanic material of the Pieniny klippen in Romanian Maramuresh. Products of two magmatic phases are reported: (1) allochthonous ophiolites, and (2) volcanic rocks of island-arc type. The origin of the eruptive rocks is examined. Some considerations on the early evolution of the Pieniny klippen realm are presented.
