Martwice wapienne na obszarze okna tektonicznego Mszany Dolnej

Abstract

Calcareous tufas in the area of the Mszana Dolna tectonic window Calcareous tufas are actually forming in the area of the Mszana Dolna tectonic window. The tufas are composed of calcite, occurring either as micrite or as sparite, depending on the form of the tufa accumulation. The occurrence of the tufas is restricted to the zones of large normal faults. Decrease of CO2 partial pressure at the deep-water outflow from these zones is the main cause of the deposition of the tufas. W pracy scharakteryzowano martwice wapienne tworzące się współcześnie w oknie tektonicznym Mszany Dolnej. Martwice te składają się wyłącznie z kalcytu. W zależności od formy występowania martwic jest to bądź mikryt, bądź sparyt. Występowanie martwic jest ściśle związane z dużymi strefami uskoków normalnych. Zmniejszenie ciśnienia parcjalnego CO2 przy wypływie wód głębinowych, migrujących tymi strefami, jest głównym powodem tworzenia się opisywanych martwic.
