The morphology, paleoecology and systematics of Nothia excelsa (Grzybowski), a deep-water agglutinated foraminifer
Abstract
Morfologia, paleoekologia i pozycja systematyczna głębokowodnej otwornicy aglutynującej Nothia excelsa (Grzybowski) A study of unusually well-preserved specimens from the upper surface of a turbidite sandstone layer indicates the tubular agglutinated foraminifer described by Grzybowski (1898) as Dendrophrya excelsa must be transferred to the genus Nothia. The autecology o f this common species is interpreted as a surface-dwelling detritivore.Downloads
