Cechy strukturalne serii węglonośnej południowej części Rybnickiego Okręgu Węglowego
Abstract
Structural features of the coal-bearing strata in the southern part of Rybnik Coal District (Southern Poland)
The paper discusses the results of structural analysis and changes in thickness of the coal-bearing series (Upper Carboniferous). Erosion-tectonical character of the top surface of Carboniferous rocks and the leading role of the Variscan and Alpine tectonic movements in the formation of structural pattern have been proved. The Alpine movements led to rejuvenation of NNW-SSE trending Variscan faults and formed the W -E fracture zones.
Praca zawiera wyniki analizy strukturalnej i zmian grubości profilu litostratygraficznego serii węglonośnej (górny karbon). Potwierdzono erozyjno-tektoniczny charakter powierzchni stropu utworów karbon u. Podstawowe znaczenie dla obecnego obrazu strukturalnego miała orogeneza hercyńska oraz ruchy alpejskie, które doprowadziły do odmłodzenia uskoków hercyńskich o kierunku NNW-SSE i do powstania uskoków o kierunkach W-E oraz zbliżonych.
