Abstract
Petrographic characteristics of oxidized zinc ores in the Bolesław and Olkusz deposits (Southern Poland)
The paper deals with oxidized zinc ores formed by transformation of pre-existing sulphide ores in the Bolesław and Olkusz regions (Southern Poland). The destruction connected with metasomatic replacement was the main controlling factor in the development of inherited and impregnated structures in the investigated ores. Multistage weathering and oxidation caused the predominance of destructive processes which resulted in the formation of friable and powdery structures.
Praca dotyczy wykształcenia teksturalnego utlenionych złóż Zn-Pb obszaru olkuskiego. Wyodrębniono typy tekstur, odtworzono mechanizm przemian rud siarczkowych w utlenione, określono rolę i zasięg poszczególnych procesów cząstkowych przebiegających podczas utleniania złoża, jak również odtworzono szczegóły wykształcenia złoża pierwotnego.
