Remarks on the terraces of Dunajec valley near Tarnów (Southern Poland)
The radiocarbon dating of a trunk (Larix sp.) found in the middle terrace in the Dunajec valley estimated the age of the terrace at 31 425 ± ± 530 years BP (Hv — 9708) — i.e. Vistulian Glaciation (Denekamp Interstadial). The lower, superinundation terrace is intersected by three or even four generations of abandoned loops. The Pleistocene and Holocene deposits are discussed.
W pracy omówiono budowę teras rzecznych, a przede wszystkim Równiny Radłowskiej (terasa średnia). Datowana metodą radiowęgla, prawdopodobnie młodsza, część osadów terasy ma wiek 31 425 ± 530 lat BP (Hv — 9708), reprezentuje więc zlodowacenie Wisły (interstadiał Denekamp). Niskie terasy w dnie doliny wyścielają głównie osady holoceńskie. W podłożu występują iły miocenu o bardzo urozmaiconej rzeźbie.
