Osady zlodowacenia środkowopolskiego w północno-wschodnim obrzeżeniu doliny górnej Odry między Kotlarnią i Zdziechowicami

Abstract

Middle Polish (Riss) glaciation deposits at the nort-eastern margin of the Upper Odra valley near Kotlarnia (Southern Poland) The paper discusses the genesis, lithology and stratigraphy of the Quaternary deposits making up the north-eastern margin of the Upper Odra valley. The deposits in question formed during the maximum and pre-maximum substages of the Middle-Polish (Riss) glaciation. A significant fact fo r the stratigraphic consideration is the occurrence of peats associated w ith the Kotlarnia interstadial. Common in the deposits are deformational structures of various genesis. Omówiono litologię, genezę i stratygrafię osadów czwartorzędowych, budujących północno-wschodnie obrzeżenie doliny górnej Odry. Osady te powstały w czasie stadiału maksymalnego i przedmaksymalnego zlodowacenia środkowopolskiego. Istotne znaczenie dla ich stratygrafii ma występowanie torfów wiązanych z interstadiałem Kotlarni. Wśród opisywanych osadów powszechne są struktu ry zaburzeniowe o różnej genezie.
