Rotation of the basement of the Upper Silesian Coal Basin
Abstract
Rotacja podłoża Górnośląskiego Zagłębia Węglowego
The detailed tectogenetic studies have given evidence that a sinlstral rotation took place during the Hercynian tectogenetic cycle in the basement of the Upper Silesian Coal Basin. This rotation resulted from permanently dextral strike-slip displacement along discontinuities in the basement. These discontinuities delimit the Upper Silesian Coal Basin.
Praca przedstawia hipotezę, że podłoże Górnośląskiego Zagłębia Węglowego uległo lewoskrętnej rotacji podczas ruchów hercyńskich. Rotacja nastąpiła wskutek prawoskrętnych ruchów przesuwczych wzdłuż nieciągłości podłoża ograniczających Górnośląskie Zagłębie Węglowe.
