Problemy stratygrafii metamorfiku Sudetów i Bloku Przedsudeckiego w świetle nowych badań paleontologicznych

Abstract

Stratigraphic problems of the metamorphic rocks of the Sudeten Mts and the Fore-Sudetic block in the light of new paleontological investigations New macro- and micropaleontological research methods have been applied in order to find faunal and microfloral remains in metamorphic rocks. This paper present a synopsis of the result achieved so far and discusses their significance for the stratigraphy and tectonics in the investigated complexes. A number of new stratigraphically fixed horizons in the Upper Proterozoic and Cambrian till Lower Carboniferous were recognized. W pracy przedstawiono metody poszukiwań skamieniałości w seriach metamorficznych. Omówiono nowe stanowiska fauny i mikroflory w skałach metamorficznych oraz ich znaczenie dla stratygrafii i tektoniki niektórych jednostek strukturalnych Sudetów. Na podstawie danych paleontologicznych zaliczono badane serie do różnych okresów stratygraficznych w przedziale czasowym ryfej—dolny karbon.
