Abstract

The use of current structures for the determination of direction of dip of beds in borehole cores Wskaźniki kierunkowe transportu występujące w piaskowcach pochodzących z rdzeni wiertniczych mogą stanowić cenną pomoc przy właściwym rozpoznawaniu budowy wgłębnej silnie sfałdowanych obszarów. Uzgodnienie k ie runku struktur prądowych występujących w rdzeniu z kierunkami obserwowanymi na powierzchni pozwala z bardzo dużym prawdopodobieństwem określić kierunek upadu warstw. Directional current structures present in sandstone cores obtained by core drilling may aid in the investigations of deep-seated structures in folded areas. The alignement of the directional structures of the core with those occurring in surface exposures enables to estimate the dip direction of beds drilled trough.
