Abstract

Wulkanity bazaltowe facji pepreytowej na Równinie Hopei w Chinach Północnych

Basalt conglomerates cropping out on the Hsiaoshan hill near the Puhai bay are described. Both structural and textural features, composition and geological form of occurrence indicate that these rocks are representing the peperite facies of basalt volcanism. The effusion of basaltic magma into a shallow water basin occurred in the Late Pleistocene (Q3), i. e. during the formation of the Malan loess, along tectonic fissures separating the Uti elevation from the neighbouring tectonic units.
