This paper ideals with some sedimentary phenomena and structures resulting from instability in density stratification. It has been found that convection-like patterns of motion exist under isothermic conditions in moving suspensions and plastic sedilments. These movements are reflected by various sedimentary structures, known under different names and recorded from different environments.
