Senonien benthonites in the Miechów region
Autorzy opisują bentonity stwierdzone w senonie zachodniego obrzeżenia niecki nidziańskiej. Najstarsza z badanych próbek zalegająca w pobliżu granicy dolnego i górnego kampanu stanowi prawie czysty montmorylonit. Pozostałe próbki pochodzące z dolnego mastrychtu posiadają charakter bardziej nontronitowy i zawierają domieszki kaolinitu.
The authors describe Senonian bentonites occurring in the western limb of the Nida syncline. The oldest of the investigated bentonites, which is present near the boundary between the Lower and Upper Campanian is composed of almost pure montmorillonite. The Lower Maestrichtian bentonites have a more nontronitic character and contain admixtures of kaolinite.
