Zagadnienie dwudzielności moren w Sudetach

Abstract

The problem of bipartition of tills in the Sudeten Mts. Autor opisuje morenę w cegielni jeleniogórskiej w Sudetach Zachodnich. Omawia on szczegółowo skład granulometryczny, strukturę i teksturę gliny morenowej. W glinie zaznaczają się wyraźnie dwie części: górna — superglacjalna i dolna — subglacjalna. Różnią się one między sobą przede wszystkim ułożeniem materiału skalnego. Morena superglacjalna posiada materiał skalny ułożony w większości płasko lub pod kątem małym. Morena subglacjalna odznacza się stromym ułożeniem głazików. Powyższe ułożenie jest związane z sedymentacją wód superglacjalnych w części górnej i swobodnym opadaniem głazów w części dolnej. Dwudzielność moreny jest więc wynikiem różnych środowisk sedymentacyjnych, a nie różnicy wiekowej. The author describes the till cropping out in the clay-pat at Jelenia Góra (Sudeten Mts). The granulometric composition, texture and structure of the till is discussed. The till is composed of two layers: the upper one is referred to as superglacial, and the lower one as subglacial. These two parts of the till are differing strongly in the orientation of the detrital material. The superglacial part of the till is characterised by a flat or slightly inclined arrangement of pebbles, while in the subglacial part of the till the pebbles are steeply inclined. The bipartition of the till is caused by differences of conditions of sedimentation, and not by difference of age, as it was previously admitted.
