Sphalerite ores reflecting the pattern of primary stratification in the Triassic of the Cracow-Silesian region

Abstract

O strukturach kruszcowych odziedziczonych po pierwotnym uwarstwieniu Much of the controversy over the genesis of the Cracow-Silesian Zn-Pb ores is brought about by unwarranted assumption that the ores reflecting the pattern of stratification are primary marine deposits or early-diagenetic concentrations. It is shown that such ores are epigenetic vein deposits produced by mineralizing solutions spreading along sedimentary interfaces in indurated carbonate rocks.
