Remarks on the formation of fungoidal concretions in limestone caves
Autorowie opisują pałeczkowate, niewielkie wyrostki zbudowa z węglanu wapnia występujące w jaskiniach. Tego rodzaju utwory naciekowe występują z reguły na porowatym podłożu i ustawione są zawsze prostopadle do jego powierzchni. Powstawanie tego typu nacieków związane jest albo z podsiąkaniem roztworu w porowatym podłożu, albo też z rozpryskiem kropel skapujących ze stropu jaskini.
The authors describe small, rod-shaped and fungoid-like concretions formed of calcium carbonate and occurring in some limestone caves. Such concretions are always growing on a porous substratum and their long axes are normal to the plane of the substratum. This type of concretions is formed either by carrying up the solution of calcium carbonate in the capillar tubes of the porous substratum or by splash.
