Środowisko sedymentacyjne piaskowców kambryjskich z Wiśniówki i ich stosunek do facji fliszowej

Abstract

Sedimentary environment of the Cambrian quartzites in the Holy Cross Mts (Central Poland) and their relationship to the Flysch facies W pracy niniejszej przedstawiono próbę porównania kambryjskiej serii kwarcytowej Gór Świętokrzyskich z facją fliszową. Autorzy poidfcreślają różnice między fliszem a serią kwarcytową. This paper is presented in an effort to compare the Cambrian quartzites of the Holy Cross Mts. (Central Poland) with the flysch facies. Significant differences between flysch and quartzitic series are pointed out and essentials of the sedimentary structures exhibited by the quartzites discussed. It is inferred that some quartzite beds represent storm deposits and correspond to the anti-dune phase of transportation.
