Sedimentation and petrology of the Połomia Beds
Praca zawiera charakterystykę sedymentologiczną i petrograficzną- warstw połomskich odsłaniających się pomiędzy Błędowem, Zawierciem, Siewierzem i Lublińcem. Auto rowie omawiają typy warstwowania i skład granulometryczny warstw połomskich, skład petrograficzny frakcji żwirowych i minerały ciężkie oraz przedstawiają wnioski co do pochodzenia materiału klastyczneigo i położenia obszaru źródłowego.
The paper contains the sedimentological and petrological characteristics of the Połomia beds cropping out on the south-west margin of the Jurassic monocline extending between Cracow and Wieluń. The authors describe the types of bedding and the granulometry of the Połomia beds, as well as the petroigraphical composition of the gravels and the heavy minerals. The provenance of the clastic material and the position of the source area is discussed.
