Abstract

A theory of orthohydrothermal origin of the silesian-Cracovian zinc-lead deposits The author presents a scheme of origin of the Silesian-Cracovian zinc-lead deposits. In his opinion, juvenile hydrothermal solutions originated from alkali basic magmas penetrated upwards through Neogene deep faults, oriented WNW. The hydrothermal action resulted in dolomitization of 'carbonate rocks. Under favourable conditions precipitation of ore minerals occured as a product of reaction of these solutions with meteoric waters and wall rocks.
