Abstract

Petrographic character of the Ordovician from borehole Łankiejmy 2 (NE Poland)

Ordovician deposits from the borehole Łankiejmy 2 in the region of Kętrzyn were submitted to microscopic studies. A description of microscopic pictures of thin slides of the analysed rocks is given, mainly concerning the Tremadocian sediments rich in glauconite and those of the Llandeilan containing ferriferous oolites. Conclusions on the original condition of glauconite and ferriferous chlorite in the investigated borehole profile are presented.
